Maestro In-Vivo Imaging System

CRi Maestro systems now feature increased multiplexing capability and even better low light-level sensitivity. Their unique technology allows higher spectral accuracy and improved signal separation. Maestro systems are breakthrough instruments for fluorescence-based in-vivo molecular imaging. Using multispectral acquisition and analysis, they provide dramatically improved sensitivity, multicolor flexibility and quantitative accuracy for both visible and near-infrared labels.

Autofluorescence-unwanted light emission from unlabeled tissues that can obscure all but the brightest of signals-limits the usefulness of conventional in-vivo fluorescence imaging. Expensive cameras do not help, since they simply capture both the autofluorescence and the desired fluorescence signal more efficiently. Maestro systems employ unique multispectral imaging technology to virtually eliminate autofluorescence, revealing otherwise invisible labeled targets-that now appear bright against a near-black background. This dramatic improvement in signal-to-noise can increase sensitivity many fold, allowing much smaller or fainter targets to be detected.
